En Garde is a design and branding agency with offices in Graz and Vienna. 

In 2016, En Garde merged with a Viennese studio and needed to update it’s brand to reflect the changes in their strategy. The old branding was dated and lacked the driving attitude of the agency.

Then in French, with a very peculiar accent, he cried, "en garde!"

"En garde," in French, refers to a defensive stance where two opponents prepare for an attack. The logo cleverly references this concept, with lines inside the shield acting as swords in an attack pose, symbolizing readiness and defense. The branding is bold and confident, reflecting a proactive approach and preparedness in tackling challenging projects.

By joining EN and GARDE together with a line, the logo thus becomes elastic and playful. EN GARDE in uppercase — signifying a bolder, louder expression.
