Hi, I'm Urszula Neumann. I'm an award-winning designer, art director & design systems expert.

With over two decades of hands-on experience in the design industry, I've established myself as a recognized authority in Digital Design. My educational journey began in Canada and was further enriched by professional tenures in Mexico City. Since relocating to Graz, Austria in 2016, I've focused on digital applications particularly in User Interface Design and Design Systems.

My career foundation begone in the field of graphic design, equipping me with a robust understanding of visual theory, aesthetics and communication. What fuels my work is a deeply ingrained passion for creative exploration— be it conceptualizing fresh ideas, solving tough design problems, or bringing concepts to life. For me, each new creative brief is akin to an uncharted territory teeming with limitless possibilities. I am a staunch believer in the transformative power of design, convinced that our creative contributions have the potential to lead to meaningful change.

My last position as Principal UI Designer & Art Director at Parkside, where I have lead efforts in UI and Design Systems. In this role, I mentored younger designers and provided a supportive environment that fosters creativity and professional growth. My goal is to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic, encouraging innovative thinking and ensuring the highest standards of design excellence are met.

Recently, I have given several talks about UI design and Visual Theory. I am available to lead Figma application workshops, design systems analysis and planning, typography, and visual theory sessions.
